FarmerTrack Pilot Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-pilot · plus the Privacy notice
Draft for review. Bracketed items are filled in by FarmerTrack before the first outside farm signs in, and the whole page should be read by a lawyer licensed in New York.

FarmerTrack is farm record-keeping software provided by [FarmerTrack LLC], a New York limited liability company ("we"). These terms apply to the farm that signs up ("you") and everyone you give a login to. By accepting them, the farm owner agrees on the farm's behalf.

1. This is a pilot

FarmerTrack is in a pilot. Features may change, be added or be removed. During the pilot the service is provided free of charge unless we agree a price with you in writing. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before charging for anything.

2. Your data is yours

You own the records you put into FarmerTrack: animals, feed, fields, books, invoices and everything else. We use them only to run the service for you. We do not sell your data, share it with other farms, or use it to market cattle, feed or anything else. You can download a full copy at any time (Books → Backup), and if you leave we will give you a final copy and then delete your farm's records from the live system within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.

3. Support access

FarmerTrack staff can open your farm's records only to help you, only through a support session that records who, when and why, and you can read that log in Settings. The farm owner can switch support access off at any time; we then cannot open your farm until you switch it back on.

4. Your responsibilities

Keep your passwords to yourself and give logins only to people who work for your farm. You are responsible for what is done under your farm's logins and for the accuracy of what you enter. FarmerTrack is a record-keeping tool. Figures it shows — market values, cost of gain, withdrawal dates, tax reports — are calculations from your entries and public market reports, not financial, veterinary, legal or tax advice. Check anything important with your own advisors, and always follow the label and your veterinarian on withdrawal times.

5. Availability and backups

We back the service up every night and keep backups off the server. We aim to keep FarmerTrack running, but during the pilot we do not promise any particular uptime, and the service may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

6. Limits on liability

FarmerTrack is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (during a free pilot, [$100]).

7. Ending the pilot

Either side can end your use of FarmerTrack at any time with written notice (email is fine). Section 2 on returning and deleting your data applies when it ends.

8. Changes and contact

If we change these terms we will show the new version in the app, and the farm owner accepts it before continuing. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Questions: [support email] · [mailing address].
